An offshoot of Toca Lab: Elements, the new app is all about botany. Designed for ages 6-8, the app gives kids all the tools they need to experiment in a fun botanical laboratory.

Along with scientifically inspired lab equipment and 35 different plant species to be discovered. Kids will start with one plant and than can experiment to produce the other characters – each with their own unique personality and traits.

After selecting a plant, kids can then visit five different location in the lab including a grow light, watering tank, cloning machine, and more. The different locations allow for tons of fun experimentation and some unexpected results sure to make kids laugh.

Budding scientists can discover plants from five different groups and even learn the names and Latin names of real plants.

Designed for both the iPhone and all iPad models, Touch Lab: Plants is available to download now on the App Store for $2.99.

Like other games from the developer, there are no in-app purchases or third-party advertising. With no high scores or any other achievements, it’s perfect to play for just a few minutes or to keep younger children entertained on a long car ride.
