An Updated Apple TV 4K Features a New Siri Remote, Faster A12 Bionic Processor
The Apple TV 4K is getting a big update. Apple just unveiled the new generation of the streaming device at today’s special event.
A big upgrade is that the new Apple TV is powered by the A12 Bionic processor found in the iPhone 11 line.
Thanks to the new processor, the device supports high frame rate HDR and Dolby Vision with 60 frames per second. That will also allows videos shot on the iPhone 12 Pro line to be displayed at the full 60-fps Dolby Vision.
Another new feature is the unique color balance process that works with an iPhone to help improve a TVs picture quality.
And there is also a new Siri remote. You can say goodbye to the much-maligned glass trackpad. In its place, there is a new clock wheel and a dedicated TV power and mute button.
The New Apple TV 4K will start at $179 and can be ordered starting on Friday, April 30. It will officially arrive in May.
