Use Augmented Reality to Help Your Putting Game With Golf Scope

June 11, 2018

Unless you’re Jordan Spieth or Rory McIlroy, the putting green can often be a maddening experience for golfers.

A number of different factors, including slope, elevation, and distance, can make or break a chance at golfing glory. But a interesting app, using Apple’s ARKit technology, is hoping to lend a hand to golfers on the green.

Using the iPhone camera, the app provides a number of different tools to help you sink that putt.

On any putting green, golfers will be able to view all of that important information. The augmented reality technology helps you view the break line and will even show you where to aim the putt.

You can also select a conservative, normal, or aggressive line and the break will automatically adjust accordingly.

Before you pull the trigger, the app will also even show you a simulated putt to help you better understand the shot.

Golfers can then record their putts to see if the right line was hit and even share great shots with others.

Each putt can be logged and viewed later to see your progress.

Golfscope is designed for the iPhone and can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. You can use the app free for 30 days.

After that, you’ll need purchase a $19.99 yearly subscription in the app.

If you're looking to give a spark to your golf game, Golf Scope definitely looks like a great app to try. And it shows a great, real-world use of AR technology.
