Vifa has introduced a new Bluetooth speaker to its range of audio products. The beautifully designed Reykjavik speaker becomes the fifth wireless loudspeaker launched by the Danish company in the past three years.

Offering a 360-degree listening experience, the Reykjavik speaker is available in two colors and styles. The Sandstone Gray variant features the Kvadrat woolen fabric found on other Vifa products, including the Helsinki and Oslo. The Lavastone Black version, meanwhile, is made from anodized aluminum.

As Vifa CEO Michael Sørensen explains:

We did several prototypes before ending up with this specific metal cover in this particular color. We wanted to convey the fissured, foggy sceneries of the Northern hemisphere, and I do hope this new look will be just as well received as the more gentle looking version of Reykjavik in Sandstone Gray.

Measuring 64mm by 139mm, the Reykavik speaker weighs just 0.6kg. Each includes a 2-by-19mm tweeter drive unit with coated fabric dome and neodymium magnet and a 70mm woofer with an aluminum cone and neodymium magnet.

Looking for more? You can connect two Reykjavik speakers to create a stereo experience.

We’ve never tested a Vifa audio product but hope to do so soon.

In the meantime, the $249 Reykjavik will be available soon at www.vifa.dk and through selected dealers.
