What’s Coming to Apple Arcade in January
It’s once again shaping up to be a busy month on Apple Arcade. Here are the four new games arriving on the gaming subscription service.
Episode XOXO
Landing tomorrow is Episode XOXO. The game is an ever-growing collection of interactive stories where you can select your destiny.
First you’ll choose you avatar and then design an outfit. Then it’s time to develop relationships with other characters. Your choices will change how the story progresses.
Illustrated
Landing on January 13 is Illustrated. The unique game blends together a jigsaw and word puzzle for a unique combination.
Each puzzle starts with a concept sketch that also features the concealed words of the artist’s story behind the piece. You’ll need to solve both parts of the puzzle—the illustration and story.
While solving the puzzle, custom-composed music will help create a great overall experience. The game is designed for all ages and even features children’s puzzles for younger player. And with a real-time multiplayer option, you can build puzzles together from anywhere.
Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On!
Hop on your horse on the next week on January 20 for Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On! From the developers of the Pokemon franchise, the game is an interesting hybrid of solitaire and horse racing.
The more cards you clear while playing solitaire will help improve your horse’s mood. That will help give them charge energy during races.
Your position on the track will also determine the difficulty of your solitaire rounds. While racing, you can also run over special cards with benefits while playing.
Squiggle Drop
To end the month, Squiggle Drop arrives on January 27. There are more than 100 puzzles to solve with a simple premises. You’ll draw a single shape and then see what unfolds. There is often multiple solutions to a puzzle.
After solving puzzles, you can earn rewards to build your own Squiggletown.
