Where To? Adds Augmented Reality and More With a New Update
No matter where you are, you can use Where To? to find somewhere to shop, eat, party, or more.
And the great app has just been updated to version 11 with a number of new features.
The biggest addition is an augmented reality view. Just point your iPhone where you are located and then see a live camera view with nearby shops and services. The feature works worldwide.
You can now also organize your favorite locations into a collection for quick and easy access. It’s also possible to import collections from KML, KMZ or GPX files.
The integrated way finder is also getting better with public transportation directions being added to car, bike, and pedestrian routing. The app also supports directions from 60 third-party apps.
With new home screen widgets, you can view last viewed places or categories without needing to open up the app,. They are available in various sizes.
Other additions include dark mode, improved Siri shortcut support, and a share sheet extension to open a location in Where To ?from other locations like a web site or other apps.
Where To? Is designed for the iPhone and can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
A Where To? Pro subscription is $2.99 per year with a one-week free trial available. A subscription will unlock AR, directions, favorites/collections, and location reminders.
Anyone who has previously purchased the app will receive a free, lifetime subscription.
