Which Angry Birds Games Are Your Favorites? Here's Our Top 5
Geared towards fans of the Angry Birds games, “The Angry Birds Movie” is in theaters as of today, May 20. So, in honor of that, we have decided to highlight a few of our favorite Angry Birds games. Which ones do you like? Which ones do you play the most? Here are five that we love to play, in no particular order.
Angry Birds 2
Released in March 2015, this follow-up took a huge jump away from the original. With being able to choose your bird, use cool special powers, and play challenging multi-stage levels, even the graphics and animations are leaps and bounds above the first Angry Birds game.
Still flinging
While the game may be quite different from the original, the concept still remains true. Fling birds to knock down the structures and take out the pigs in order to advance to the next level. Use Chuck for wood, Bomb for metal, and Red to push over towers. Special spells can help you out of tight spots and difficult levels, but remember that you have to choose one at the beginning of the stage.
Angry Birds Pop!
As a spin-off of Angry Birds, the second in the Angry Birds Stella series, and originally released with the name Angry Birds Stella Pop!, this is a fun bubble-popping challenge. With unique goals in each level, from getting to the top within the time limit to saving the animals, there is always something different in Angry Birds Pop!.
Sling to pop
Using your slingshot, you take aim to pop bubbles of three or more matching colors. You will come across bombs that eliminate a row and everything beneath it or those that just pop bubbles around it. Some levels will have you taking on the big boss Gale while others have you dropping pigs.
Angry Birds Friends
Angry Birds Friends became a fast favorite for friendly competition with Facebook pals. There are new tournaments each week with distinctive puzzles within six levels. The goal is to outscore your friends, climb the ranks, and move through the leagues earning coins for power-ups.
Outscore and power-up
If you land yourself one of the top three spots at the end of the weekly tournament, you will receive valuable coins. This can be essential to doing well because those coins can be used for awesome power-ups. From the Birdquake to the Wingman to the Power Potion, these handy tools can really boost your score by getting you through the levels using less birds.
Angry Birds Seasons
Angry Birds Seasons has been around for several years and is still going strong with updates all the time. Whether it is spring, summer, fall, or winter, you can count on an update to match. Along with that, holidays like Halloween and Christmas bring some fun challenges as well. So, for a game that changes with the time of year, Angry Birds Seasons is a great one.
Same concept, unique themes
Your goal is the same in Angry Birds Seasons as the original where you fling your birds to knock down the structures and take out the pigs. But, this game adds something distinctive with each season and holiday. From the beach to the snow to March Madness, there is always a new theme. This game also includes the Mighty Eagle whose powers can save you in difficult levels.
Angry Birds Space
Angry Birds Space brings its own set of challenges with the inclusion of gravity-less flinging. While in the similar Angry Birds games, you use gravity to your advantage, this one is the opposite. This makes the game more difficult, yet still a ton of fun.
Be careful how you fling
This game offers gravity-pulls that you must use to tackle the structures and take out the piggies. So, you really need to plan your moves carefully, otherwise your birds could end up lost in space. From slow motion to warp speed, each of the more than 300 levels across 10 stellar planets is challenging and distinctive.
