In less than a week, one new feature of iOS and iPadOS 14 has taken off - home screen widgets. With the feature, you can add different bits of information from apps to view at a glance.
But the new app Widgetsmith takes widgets to a new level.
To begin, you can select a widget from a number of categories like date, weather, astronomy, reminders.
On each of those options, you can adjust font, tint color, background color, and more to best suit your taste.
And that’s not all. You can set specific rules for when the widget will appear on the home screen.
For example, the weather widget can appear in the morning and then it can switch to your Activity ring progress later in the day. The possibilities are truly endless.
Widgetsmith is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
If you’re interested in viewing weather and tide data, you’ll need an optional Widgetsmith Premium subscription. That’s $1.99 monthly or $19.99 per year.
