LIVV was founded by former NFL player Mark Clayton when he became frustrated by the poor quality of athletic headphones on the market. He and his team designed headphones for athletes or anyone who moves a lot. LIVV Headphones are wireless and snug, so they won’t budge when you’re running, lifting, skating, dancing, training, or anything else. They have 8GB of on-board storage so that you can listen to your tunes without your iPhone in tow. LIVV Headphones are water resistant, so you don’t need to worry about sweat or rain damaging them.
What I Liked
The sound quality is excellent. In fact, the LIVV Headphones offer some of the best sound quality I’ve heard from any headphones. The memory foam ear pads both cushion the ear and provide some blockage of background noise. As a result, you can focus on the music.
The LIVV Headphones look sharp. The ability to store your music on the headphones frees you from having to carry your iPhone during your workout. The secure fit means they’re not going to fall off while you’re in motion.
If a call comes in while you’re listening to something, you press the power button to switch over to the phone call. When done talking, press it again to return to your music. I was able to conduct a telephone conversation without having to shout or raise my voice at all. I didn’t have any trouble hearing my caller, but she told me that sometimes my first syllable got cut off.
What I Didn't Like
LIVV Headphones are designed to be snug, yet they are adjustable for fit. In theory, that’s great, but I could not find a comfortable fit for myself, despite my attempts to stretch them to the proper size. I have both a sensitive and apparently large head. I often have the same problem with hats, and I can’t wear headbands at all. I asked my husband to try them, and he did find them comfortable. It’s a matter of personal preference.
These are expensive headphones. While they are certainly of high quality, they’re new and may not have the cache of some other headphones in that price range.
LIVV Headphones are high-end in both sound quality and price. These Bluetooth 4.0 headphones with memory foam ear pads fit snugly and will stay put through just about any kind of workout you can dream up. As long as you don’t find the snug fit uncomfortable, you’ll appreciate how much less of the outside world creeps in.
The built-in 8GB MP3 player is a great feature that allows you to leave your iPhone at home. Since they are water resistant, you don’t have to worry about rain or sweat.
