Workflow 1.5 Adds Support for App Store, Ulysses and More
Workflow is the iOS app that keeps on getting better and better. As such, it should come as no surprise for users of the software that version 1.5, which hit the App Store last week, is the best release yet.
You can grab Workflow 1.5 now: new features are aplenty, and we’re going to break down a handful of the most significant here. But if you’ve yet to discover the magic of this impressive iOS application, we’d recommend you take Workflow for a spin on your iPhone or iPad, and see what the fuss is all about for yourself.
Perhaps my favorite new feature (and the one I’ll be using most of all) is Workflow’s support for App Store actions. Users can now perform searches of both the App Store and the iTunes Store using a dedicated “Search App Store” action, and from here, details of selected iOS apps can be passed into subsequent actions inside a given workflow. These include the price of an app, its release date, and artwork.
There are also new actions for Apple Music and Trello; improved Ulysses actions are available, too, for users of the iOS text editor. And lastly, it’s possible to add metadata when encoding an audio file.
The bottom line, then, is that Workflow 1.5 offers users a more capable automation system for iOS than ever before. You can download it for $2.99, and it’s optimized for the iPhone/iPod touch, iPad, and Apple Watch.
