Showtime has joined the live TV anywhere bandwagon. Just like ESPN, CNN, and a number of other networks, the updated Showtime Anywhere iOS app will let subscribers watch the network live.
If you subscribe to the network though a participating provider, you’ll need to login with your credentials to see a live feed of either Showtime East or Showtime West. Previously, the app only featured on-demand episodes.
Version 2.0 of the app also brings improved stability and performance along with a number of other minor bug fixes.
The Showtime Anytime app is universal for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. Current participating TV providers include AT&T U-Verse, Comcast XFINITY, DirecTV, Optimum, and Verizon FIOS.
