Tangent Photo-Editing App Updated With Native iPad Support, New Styles And More
July 30, 2013
Less than three weeks after its launch, Tangent has already received its first major update, which happens to include universal support.
Tangent is a photo-editing app that lets you prettify your photos using a variety of geometric effects. The app provides a suite of frames, shapes, patterns, fills, and blends that you can use to enhance your photos. It then lets you share your photos or continue adding more effects to them by choosing the "Retangent" option.
Tangent was launched as an app optimized for iPhone and iPod touch only. But thanks to its first major update, the app has been made universal with native iPad support.
What's more, Tangent's first major update adds 13 new styles, bringing the total style count to 28. That's 28 customizable styles that combine shapes, fills, and blends to great effect. Notably, beginning with the new version of the app, you can now select a new style without having to start over.

The update also adds support for preserving photo metadata and introduces a new Inspirations section that features users' Tangent creations.
Now optimized for iPad as well as iPhone and iPod touch, Tangent is available in the App Store for $1.99.

Tangent is created by Ben Guerrette, the same developer behind Deco Sketch, another app that enhances photos with various geometric effects.
