Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic Goes Half-Price As It Goes Universal For iPhone
The Force is strong with this one ... Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has just received its first major update. And this update happens to be none other than its much-awaited universal update. Released late last May as an iPad-only title, the AppAdvice Game of the Week award-winning iOS port of the RPG classic based on "Star Wars" has been made compatible with iPhone and iPod touch as well. Specifically, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has been optimized for iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, and fifth-generation iPod touch, as well as for iPad 2, third-generation iPad, fourth-generation iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad mini with Retina display. What's more, as we reported last week, the new version of the game also boasts improved visuals, shadows, and bloom lighting (for A7-powered devices). The new universal version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new paid download. In celebration of its universal update, the game is currently available for $4.99, 50 percent off its regular price of $9.99. In other "Star Wars"-themed iOS gaming news, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga has just been updated with graphical and gameplay tweaks, and Star Wars: Tiny Death Star has just gained some enhancements as well. In addition, Angry Birds Star Wars II has just been selected by Apple as its free App of the Week. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
