All instances of Cut the Rope in the App Store have just been updated with some delicious eye-candy.

Both Cut the Rope: Experiments (for the iPhone and iPod touch) and Cut the Rope: Experiments HD (for the iPad) have received updates to version 1.4. Now, fans of the popular applications can take advantage of all-new in-app purchasable "superpowers" while playing, which allow players to pass tough levels quickly and easily.

Before most in the United States turn on the barbeque and celebrate the long Memorial Day weekend, the App Store has gotten a facelift of sorts. The site now includes a “Free App Of The Week,” plus other updates.

Today's AGF list includes the most adorable physics puzzler you'll ever play, a slick timer and alarm app, and a gorgeous top-down racer.

In the second major update to Cut the Rope: Experiments, the little sweet tooth monster has a mini pool party. Containing a couple dozen new levels, the Bath Time set is floating with fun and even a new playmate.
