Apple’s latest promotion offers 50 percent off or more on a number of great games
You still have time to download a number of great games that are 50 percent off or more during Apple’s “Pay Once & Play” sale.
Pay once and play
The sale should last until Thursday, April 14.
Here’s the complete list. Just to note, all of the games are designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and all iPad models.
Transistor – $2.99 (regularly $9.99)
Prune – $1.99 (regularly $3.99)
Implosion – Never Lose Hope – $1.99 (regularly $9.99)
Downwell – $1.99 (regularly $2.99)
_PRISM – $0.99 (regularly $2.99)
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons – $1.99 (regularly $4.99)
SPL_T – $0.99 (regularly $2.99)
Radiation Island – $0.99 (regularly $2.99)
Rules! – $0.99 (regularly $2.99)
That’s a great slate of games. Most notably, Transistor’s price is the lowest ever, and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is on sale for the first time since hitting the App Store in late 2015.
I’m glad to see Apple offer such great discounts on these high-quality games. Unfortunately, the freemium model is here to stay – for better or worse. But it’s nice to see these great titles get the publicity they deserve from Apple.

Nothing better than free
Om Nom is back in Cut the Rope: Time Travel.
And if you’re looking for something a little different, Apple has also recently selected its newest App of the Week. Cut the Rope: Time Travel is free until Thursday, April 14. It’s usually $0.99.
Just like in previous games, you’ll need to solve physics-based puzzles primarily by cutting ropes so as to help Om Nom get his all-important candy fix. A fun new gameplay element is that Om Nom can now change into five other different shapes – bird, baby, mouse, fish, and spirit – to help snag the sweet reward.
