If genuine, Apple is planning on releasing a 4.7-inch iPhone 7 alongside two 5.5-inch handsets, meaning we'll see a trio of new smartphones launch this fall

Curiously, a new high-definition video showing off Apple’s “iPhone 7” lineup has hit the Web. The oddity, however, is that the video depicts not two, but rather three iPhone 7 handsets: could “Plus” and “Pro” versions of the 5.5-inch smartphone be in the works?

The video, from TechTastic.nl (via MacRumors), is embedded on the right of the page. As you can see, it shows off a 4.7-inch iPhone handset alongside two 5.5-inch iPhones, one of which includes a single-lens rear-facing camera, and the other of which boasts a dual-lens system. Apple’s iPad line includes both Air and Pro versions of the 9.7-inch tablet, prompting some to speculate that an iPhone 7 Plus will launch alongside a more capable, higher-powered iPhone 7 Pro. This had been hinted at by a leaked schematic earlier in the year, even if further reports suggested that just two handsets would launch as part of the iPhone 7 lineup.

It could be that the video, if genuine, is showing two prototypes of the 5.5-inch iPhone 7: one with a single-lens camera, and one with a dual-lens camera. Most reports and leaks have argued that we’ll see a dual-lens iPhone 7 launch in September, however it could be Apple changed its mind in the later stages of the product’s development.

All will become clear in September, when Apple is expected to unveil its next-generation iPhone handsets. Of course, we’ll keep you posted with further information as we receive it, so be sure to check back with us.
