App Store Description

Watch live video of the Earth from space with NASA's feed from the International Space Station.

NOTE: The International Space Station spends half its time in sunlight and the other half in the dark, about 45 minutes each. If you see a black screen when watching live HDEV video, it usually means that the ISS is on the night side of the Earth.

The High Definition Earth-Viewing (HDEV) system cycles among four possible camera angles: one forward, one down, and two looking back.

If the image is black, it usually means the ISS is on the night side of the Earth. A gray image means the feed is switching between cameras or communication with the ISS is not available.

From the main screen, learn about the current space station crew members.

The app also includes the NASA TV Public feed for additional NASA programming, including live launches and landings.
