"What's worth remembering?"
It's up to you to answer that question.

At Stuyvesant High School, there lays an iconic installation of over 400 glass cubes spanning from the basement to the rooftop. Each block contains unique relics—snapshots of the geographical, cultural, and social worlds from antiquity to present day. Since 1992, this collaborative artwork by Kristin Jones and Andrew Ginzel has invited students, alumni, and visitors to experience and contribute to the growing collection, capturing cherished moments in Stuyvesant’s evolving journey.

Discover the rich history of the Mnemonics Project with this newly rebuilt experience to celebrate three decades of the project, and contribute to the ever-expanding catalogue with your own piece of story!

Features:
Explore the catalogue and breeze through the installation, from the gym to the rooftop.
Discover detailed stories and histories behind each glass block, filled with artifacts and mementos.
Contribute to the future of the project by learning how graduating classes can fill empty blocks with new memories.
Submit your own commentary on how each cube resonates with you, and contribute new information to this live collection.
