Lead Wars Updated With Single Player, Map Creator, And Further Improvements

Not all of us grew up with an iPhone or iPod touch in our pocket, or an iPad on the coffee table. When it came to mobile gaming, it was a deck of cards, Pogs, Jacks, and sometimes just a pencil and paper. As cool as games like Angry Birds, Real Racing 2, and Rainbow Six can be, sometimes it's just not possible to beat the feeling of playing a longstanding simple classic. Those who do get that feeling should appreciate DemonStudios recently improving their digital remake of the pencil and paper strategy game Lead Wars with the option of an AI opponent, map creator, and a few enhancements to improve the user experience. In response to user requests, the biggest two features of Lead Wars v1.1 include an artificial intelligence (CPU controlled) player for solo gamer situations and a new map creator to offer some refreshing gameplay and the ability to construct an environment suited to your own strategy level and interests. The map creator is a simple add, delete, twist, and drag to position experience. Create a map from scratch or use one of the included six as a starting off point. The game can store up to 75 custom created maps. Tap on the map name to adjust size parameters and name, and use the standard right to left swipe on the name to reveal the delete option. The final three changes made with this release consist of the ability to search for online players while playing a local game, older iDevice optimization, and additional game attribute customization. Standard game options include player names, number of players, game difficulty, map, number of units, plus advanced settings for the maximum number of moves, shots, and actions per turn.
