Type Tool ($2.99) is a simple-but-handy app, which helps developers choose the right font for their iOS creation. Recently, the app received an update adding support for Photoshop Touch SDK - the same kit Adobe used to develop its three Photoshop for iPad apps.
Now, users of the app can send a "Typesetter screen layout and settings" to Photoshop, and edit the creation in the desktop version of Adobe's software. As outlined in Type Tool's release notes:
Remember, you can only take advantage of this feature if you're running Photoshop CS5 12.0.4 or later on your computer. (That's what the above asterix is reminding readers of Type Tool's release notes.) Currently, Type Tool itself is available to download for $2.99. If you're planning on developing an iOS app, this handy application may indeed help you out. And now it has support for Photoshop, Type Tool is even more useful. Let us know if you're a fan of the app in the comments.
