Another feature Apple has added in iOS 5 is the ability to configure an AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule from an iOS device.
At the company's WWDC keynote presentation earlier this week, Apple stated that iOS 5 will be PC-free. This idea involves features like wireless activation, over-the-air software updates and more.
Now, we've heard from 9to5Mac that iOS 5 also allows users to configure an AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule from an iOS device. As you can see in the above screenshot, this can be done from within the "Wi-Fi Networks" section of the Settings app.
To me, the idea of a PC-free iPad seems like a good idea. If Apple wants its "magical and revolutionary" tablet to be a fitting PC replacement, you shouldn't really need to own a desktop computer in order to use one, right?
