Many iOS 5 Features Can Already Be Installed On Your Jailbroken iPhone

June 11, 2011
While Apple's WWDC keynote presentation outlined a feature packed iOS 5, not every feature added in the new mobile operating system is technically "new." A recently released video (by Cult of Mac) outlines exactly how many iOS 5 features can already be added to your jailbroken iPhone, via Cydia. Earlier this week, we told you about how Apple appeared to have taken a great deal of "inspiration" from Greg Hughes' jailbreak app, Wi-Fi Sync. Furthermore, we've discussed the similarities between Apple's new notification system, and Peter Hajas' jailbreak alternative. In attempting to keep users from jailbreaking their handset, it would appear that Apple is willing to add many jailbreak features - that is, apps and tweaks - to the iOS. If you like the look of iOS 5, but don't have a developer account (and therefore no beta version of the mobile operating system), this video - which we've embedded below - gives an overview of the iOS 5 features that can be installed on a jailbroken iPhone. Check it out, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
