Move Aside, Apple: Best Buy Offering $100 Gift Card For Mac-Buyers

June 20, 2011
If you were disappointed with Apple's "Back to School" $100 iTunes Gift Card offering, worry not - because Best Buy may be able to help out. According to a recent article, the retailer is offering $100 Best Buy vouchers to the same qualifying customers, provided they ask for the offer in-store. The news comes from MacRumors, who notes:
We've been told that Best Buy will be matching this promotion with a $100 Best Buy gift card for the same qualifying customers. This is an unadvertised promotion, so customers will have to ask for it specifically.
Apple is currently offering its $100 iTunes Gift Card to college students, students accepted to a college, the parents of college students or faculty members. Therefore, if MacRumors is right, the above can request the offer when purchasing a qualifying Mac (MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac and Mac Pro). Obviously, the spoils of Best Buy's offer extend to more than just Apple's digital stores - arguably making it a better offer. If you have successfully managed to take advantage of this offer, let us know in the comments.
