A source within American Apple Stores has reportedly confirmed that unlocked iPhone 4 handsets will indeed be available to purchase from tomorrow.
Previously, this was suggested by @ChronicWire - a relatively new source for Apple information. However, 9to5Mac has been told by "sources within United States Apple Stores" that unlocked handsets are indeed coming, and that we can expect to see them from Wednesday.
Furthermore, the "source" cites the same model numbers originally listed by @ChronicWire - these match against unlocked handsets sold internationally.
According to MacRumors, unlocked iPhone 4 handsets will be priced at $649 (16 gigabyte) and $749 (32 gigabyte). However, as of this moment, nothing has been confirmed by Apple.
We'll keep you posted. In the meantime, feel free to post your thoughts in the comments.
(Update: Following the publication of this article, Apple made the aforementioned unlocked handsets available in the Apple Online Store. For more information, check out our article.)
