Video: First Generation iPad Equipped With Prototype 3-D Display

An interesting video has recently hit the Web, which demonstrates a first generation iPad equipped with a prototype 3-D display.
Regardless of the 3-D display rumors we've heard regarding the third generation iPad, this video doesn't suggest that Apple might take the next iPad's display into the "third dimension." It doesn't even suggest that this is something Apple is even considering, let along planning - so don't get your hopes up. As 9to5Mac notes, this could be a "PR stunt" on the part of Display Taiwan - the show at which the 3-D display-equipped iPad was demonstrated.
Furthermore, the 3-D display fitted into the first generation iPad demoed in the video appears to require "special glasses," with polarized lenses. Now, I don't know about you, but this definitely doesn't appeal to me.
Regardless, the video is interesting - so do check it out, and let us know your thoughts in the comments. But at the same time, don't go expecting an "iPad 3-D" to hit Apple Stores next year. Instead, I think a higher quality display is far more likely.
