Quirky App Of The Day: Dalton The Awesome

Dalton the Awesome has some of my favorite things: zombies, stick figures and doodles. Dalton is a stick figure guy that has to outrun zombies. How can a game get any simpler, and yet more awesome, than that? He runs at breakneck speed, hurdling over oil-slicks, spikes and random stationary zombies. A zombie horde chases after him, providing the perfect motivation for him to keep on running.
This game has some awesome power-ups as well. Want to grow five times your normal size so that you can trounce those zombies? There's a power up for that. Want a chainsaw? Duel-weilding hand guns? How about an awesome bike or skateboard? There are power ups for that. These power ups have some real potential. When you run a specific distance, you unlock a new power up. You can also upgrade them with the souls of the zombies you reap during your sprint. So, running and killing zombies actually means something in this game. You know, more than just staying alive and defending the world from the uprising.
The game lasts for as long as you can dodge the zombies or pitfalls.
Your score is measured by how many meters you run and the number of zombies that you kill. I was hoping that the horde that falls to their doom after you jump across a chasm would count in your favor, but they don't. You need a power up and some zombies in your path to get your kill count.
