The New Toy Box Has Been Successfully Delivered In Cut The Rope v1.4
July 23, 2011
As promised, ZeptoLab and Chillingo have released another Cut the Rope update, adding all kinds of new Om Nom fun. Cut the Rope and Cut the Rope HD v1.4 add another new box of levels, plus some new treats, colorful goodies, and more.
We've had to overcome spikes, electric currents, candy eating critters, and more by utilizing elastic ropes, pulleys, bubbles, gravity change, etc in the past. Well, Om Nom's new Toy Box encases 25 new puzzling levels with a new height of difficulty. Find a way to swing, float, drop, shoot, and now bounce those treats into your favorite munching monster's mouth.
In the few month break, there has been enough time to do more than just create some new puzzling ways to feed your adorable pet creature. In fact, after all this time, the folks at ZeptoLab became aware of a couple new treats Om Nom is willing to scarf down. By tapping on the hard candy hanging from the logo in the main menu, you can select either a frosted donut or cupcake to feed him instead.
If that doesn't beat all, there was another new discovery made between updates. It appears Om Nom has an affinity for drawing cute pictures. As you conquer the puzzles, you'll uncover these 11 drawings hidden throughout. Once you've found a picture, you can share it on your Facebook wall for everyone to marvel. See and share all of the drawings you've revealed by accessing them through the main menu.
We're almost finished, but I do have a couple more additions provided by Cut the Rope v1.4 to tell you about. You can now send someone their very own Om Nom as a gift, right from the app. Sitting to the left of the original cardboard box (in the box selection screen, of course) is a new "Gift this App" option. And finally, to go along with the new Toy Box, several more Game Center achievements to earn are now in existence.
Cut the Rope is designed for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or later, and available in the App Store for $.99. Cut the Rope HD is compatible with iPad running iOS 3.2 or later, and available in the App Store for $1.99.
