The iPad's virtual keyboard is good enough for quick emails, Twitter updates or short note-taking, but if you want to really utilize Pages and type out an entire document, mistakes can easily be made. While there are a variety of dock and wireless keyboards available for Apple's iPad, "Levitatr" - a new product that's currently in its Kickstarter phase of development - looks to be one of the more elegant and impressive iPad keyboards out there.
You see, the thing about Levitatr is that it has elevating keys, meaning that it's flat when not in use, but has real, physical keys that pop out of the keyboard when owners wish to use the product. There's a kick-stand for the iPad (or other tablet), and the Levitatr connects to the iPad wirelessly, via Bluetooth.
The keys can be revealed via an "activator" button, and are backlit. In order to secure a Levitatr for yourself, pledge $79 or more over at Kickstarter, and if the project reaches its funding goal ($60,000 by October 24), you'll receive a Levitatr in the mail soon after.
For more information, visit Levitatr's Kickstarter webpage. And feel free to share your thoughts on the product in the comments.
