Peekaboo: Find Hidden Fun UFO Characters - Plus Win A Copy!
Peekaboo: Find Hidden Fun UFO Characters SD ($0.99) by PopAppFactory is a fun new kids’ app for the iPhone and iPod touch. We recently wrote about the iPad version of this app, as well as PopAppFactory’s other beautiful games, Mosaic HD and Tangram Puzzles. Now there’s an iPhone/iPad touch version of this peekaboo game. In the same vein as Where’s Waldo, your mission is simply to find all of the aliens and tap on each one.
Seven aliens land on earth, disembark, and scatter into the background. As you tap each one, it speaks a few words in its alien tongue and then disappears. Once you tap all seven aliens, you move on to the next level. If you get stumped, just tap anywhere, and a hint panel appears at the top with images of the remaining aliens you need to find on that level. Tap that image, and the hiding alien will sparkle so you can find it immediately. Tapping on other parts of each scene will elicit other sounds as well. As you complete each level, you’ll hear applause. There are ten levels in all.
The graphics are simply adorable. Even the sounds the aliens make when you find them are cute, though of course you can turn the sound effects off if you prefer.
Each level brings a different scene, though leveling up does not raise the difficulty level. All in all, this is a lovely game for kids, one that even the youngest child can play. It might even provide a bit of amusement for adults as well.
