Great news, OmniFocus fans: The popular applications for the iPhone and iPad have recently received updates, adding support for iOS 5 (which launched yesterday), along with a variety of other new features.
Now, users of the application can take advantage of location-based reminders, Map enhancements and an improved Forecast when running OmniFocus under iOS 5. Furthermore, it's now easier than ever to edit from within the app, and The Omni Group (the app's developer) has also tweaked syncing.
However, one of the best features added in this update is undoubtedly iOS 5 compatibility. Since iOS 5 hit Gold Master status, iOS apps have been receiving updates to ensure that they run perfectly with the new mobile operating system. Now iOS 5 is available, iOS developers are going to be pushing out compatibility updates (if they're needed) as quickly as possible.
The OmniFocus apps are undoubtedly some of the best productivity apps available in the App Store. Currently, the iPhone app is available to download for $19.99, while the iPad version is available for $39.99.
