iOS Apps Gone Free: Wonder Pants, Big Bang, Real Piano HD Pro, And More

Play as Darrell, an aspiring superhero, and try to save all of the cats in the neighborhood in Scramble's physics-based puzzle game, Wonder Pants. We also have a stylish collection of challenging mini-games, and an 88-key keyboard for your iPad that will allow you to fill your home with beautiful music.

iPhone:

Big Bang!! ($0.99 -> Free, 25.8 MB): A collection of frantic and unique mini-games that tell the very long story of the universe. Each of the over 30 mini-games includes a different mechanic, which you must master in order to achieve the highest possible score. You can fail only three times before the game is over. It also includes Game Center integration.

Big Bang!! is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 14 ratings.

Wonder Pants ($0.99 -> Free, 19.0 MB): In this physics-based puzzle game you get to play as Darrell, a young superhero trying to earn his stripes by saving cats. Tap and hold your finger on the screen to build up Darrell's jumping power, and then release at just the right time to go flying through the air and reach the cats. You'll also want to try to collect the three coins in each level to earn a perfect rating. The game includes 70 levels, all kinds of power-ups, and comics to unlock.

Wonder Pants is available for free today only (12/18). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 223 ratings.

Cost2Drive ($1.99 -> Free, 2.3 MB): This super simple travel app allows you to calculate the cost to drive to your next destination. The cost is based on your exact vehicle make and model, and the current fuel prices along the route you're taking. Destinations can be imported from your contacts for quick calculations. You can also save up to five vehicles for easy comparison. If you want more information, you can tap on "Get Trip Details" to be brought outside of the app to Cost2Drive's website.

High Tide ($0.99 -> Free, 30.6 MB): An arcade game that utilizes Tiny Wings' jumping mechanic, but adds another layer of gameplay by allowing you to fly for short periods of time. Tapping the right side of the screen causes your vehicle to plummet from the sky while tapping the left side will allow you to fly. You have a limited amount of fuel to fly with, however, but you can grab fuel cans in between jumps to replenish your supply. The game includes four vehicles, randomly generated environments, and Game Center integration.

High Tide is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 12 ratings.

Wild Defense ($0.99 -> Free, 36.1 MB): A tower defense game where you need to place your tribesmen along different paths in order to stop the Ice Queen-controlled creatures from invading your home. Just tap on a unit and then tap on an open square to place it. The game includes 32 levels, 15 upgradable units, three levels of weaponry for each soldier, 20 enemy types, and Game Center integration.

GoTime ($0.99 -> Free, 2.2 MB): This travel app is able to sync with your iDevice's calendar and address book to ensure you stay on schedule. When creating an event you're required to add a title, location, and a start and end time. The app will then display your current location and travel time, so you'll never be late. Events that are to take place within the next 24 hours are displayed in the Event List, allowing you to use GoTime as a basic reminder app as well since it includes alarms.

GoTime is available for free for a limited time. It has a 3.5-star rating with a total of 17 ratings.

GravCat ($0.99 -> Free, 41.2 MB): Take control of Gravity Cat in this physics-based platform game, and try to save the galaxy from certain demise. You're able to control Gravity Cat's direction using on-screen buttons in order to collect all of the energy cells in each level. The game includes 53 levels, power-ups, and boss battles.

GravCat is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 12 ratings.

Universal:

Superfood HD ($0.99 -> Free, 25.2 MB): Teaches you all about “superfoods” and how to best utilize them. Superfoods are rich in phytochemicals and special nutrients which have properties that help you stay healthy. The app features a huge list of superfoods and recipes to go along with them.

Superfood HD is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 251 ratings.

Chop Chop Caveman ($2.99 -> Free, 42.8 MB): Take control of a hungry caveman and make your way through the 20 different levels as quickly as possible while collecting gems and eating dinosaur meat. The game features two control schemes, four worlds to explore, and Game Center integration.

Splishi Splashi ($0.99 -> Free, 6.8 MB): This pixel art arcade game requires you to guide a fish through treacherous waters in order to try and outrun the giant piranha on your tail. You're able to control your fish by simply dragging your finger around the screen. Collect the various coins and power-ups to keep your speed up, and avoid running into the ground and the puffer fish at all costs. The game includes Game Center integration as well.

Splishi Splashi is available for free today only (12/18). It has a 5-star rating with a total of 5 ratings.

Speedball 2 Evolution ($4.99 -> Free, 92.3 MB): A remake of The Bitmap Brothers’ futuristic sports game that combines football and hockey elements to create a violent mixture. The object of the game is to not only score goals, but also annihilate your opponents by tackling them. The game includes tilt and touch controls, 28 teams to choose from, multiple game modes, upgrades, local multiplayer, and Game Center integration.

Speedball 2 Evolution is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 647 ratings.

iPad:

Real Piano HD Pro ($1.99 -> Free, 38.8 MB): Fill your home with the sound of a grand piano, harp, marimba, guitar, bass, and music box with this 88-key keyboard. The keys can be arranged in three different ways, and you can access the full set by pinching, pulling, and sliding your fingers across the bar at the top of the screen. The app also includes expression control, customizable key labels, tuning, and transposing.

Real Piano HD Pro is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 236 ratings.
