Band Of The Day Goes Universal: Discover New Music On Your iPad, Too

January 27, 2012
Band of the Day - an iPhone app that allows users to discover a new artist or band each and every day of the year - has recently received an update, and is now compatible with the iPad. Back in September, the application launched for the iPhone and iPod touch, and proved to be rather popular. Though initially users had to subscribe to the service for either $0.99/month or $9.99/year, the application is now completely free to use. Here's how the app's developer, 955 Dreams, describes Band of the Day in its release notes:
Band Of the Day is the world's first daily music magazine built solely for mobile devices. Surpassing traditional music magazines, Band of the Day delivers a new artist or band every single day through expert curation and engaging reviews, as well as full streams of the artist's top songs, videos, photographs and more. A new band in your pocket, everyday. Listen, Discover, Share.
Now that Band of the Day supports the iPad, Apple fans can start discovering new bands on a daily basis using their tablet computer. Take a look at the recently updated Band of the Day now - as mentioned, the application is free to download and use. Enjoy! [via TechCrunch]
