In Other News, Current Apple TVs Mostly Sold Out

March 6, 2012
Really looking forward to purchasing a second-generation Apple TV? You’re mostly out of luck. With Apple’s next media event just hours away, 98 percent of Apple’s 246 US retail stores no longer have the company’s “hobby” product in stock, according to MacRumors. As we told you earlier, Apple is expected to reveal a third-generation Apple TV at tomorrow’s iPad 3/HD/2S. So, it makes sense the company would stop selling the outgoing model. That being said, according to the report, Apple TVs are still available at:   A third-generation Apple TV may include a faster processor and a dual-core A5 chip, which would include an improved graphics engine. In addition, the device could also come with a redesigned Bluetooth 4.0 remote control, Siri support and 1080p. As a reminder, tomorrow’s Apple event is being held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco beginning at 10 a.m. PST. For more information on the event, be sure to check out our predictions page.
