Marvel Vs. Capcom 2: New Age Of Heroes Now In Full Fighting Mode In The App Store

As announced last week, the iOS version of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes is now available in the App Store. Beginning today, you can already play one of the most celebrated fighting titles in video game history on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch anytime and anywhere you want.
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 for iOS is packed with features that have made the original game, which was released over a decade ago, such a huge hit among arcade and console players. An uncompromising, direct iOS port of the original, it sensibly preserves the spectacular graphics and exciting gameplay that characterize the popular crossover franchise. But perhaps its most significant departure is in its controls, which include the new "flick button" and other modes of input streamlined for the iOS platform's touchscreen.
Of course, it wouldn't be Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 without the impressive cast of characters that defines the game. Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 for iOS proudly features 28 Marvel superheroes and 28 Capcom stars, whom you can mix and match to assemble your dream tag-team fighting machine. Want to pit Wolverine, Hulk, and Iron Man against Chun-Li, Ryu, and Mega Man? By all means. What's more, you can play against other iOS users via Bluetooth versus mode. You can also take advantage of a couple of new features called Variable System, which allows you to tag in other team members at any time, and Team Hyper Combo, which lets you combine the powers of all three members of a team to exact a synergistic attack on your opponent.
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is playable only on iOS 5.0 or later running on iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch 4th generation, iPad 2, and iPad 3rd generation. The new iPad's Retina display is apparently not yet supported by the game, but don't let that dissuade you from taking it for a spin. Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 for iOS is available at a special launch price of $2.99 until May 6, after which it will be available at its regular price of $4.99.
