Jailbreaker Hard At Work On iPad Optimized Version Of Sparrow

While the popular iPhone mail client Sparrow continues to get better with a slate of updates, jailbreakers are hard at work developing an unofficial version for the iPad, according to iDownloadBlog.
Even though it’s not 100 percent, the tweak does make Sparrow look much better on the iPad than just running in 2X mode.
Here’s a quick hands-on video of the mode. Click here if you can’t see the video.
The iPad mode comes from the developer who designed Sparrow+, which we told you about last month. With Sparrow+, any action that would normally launch the default Mail app launches Sparrow instead. The jailbreak tweak also brings push notifications with Notification Center support.
Sparrow's developer has been trying to feature push notifications since the app was launched. As of now, official push support is planned for a future update, but will require a yearly fee.
The official Sparrow app, since it was released in March, has gained quite a following while moving up the App Store charts. In our original review, Christine Chan said the app has a great design and is the best email client since Apple’s own.
Are you glad to see a jailbreak version of Sparrow on the iPad? Would you like to see an official edition, or should the app stay iPhone only?
