While the iPad and Apple Wireless Keyboard combination is one of my favorite ways to type on the go, the big issue is that both components have to be lugged around separately. But a Kickstarter project is aiming to solve that problem.
Salman Sajid has created the Touchtype case to carry your iPad and the Apple Wireless Keyboard in one compact unit. Here’s a video about the project. Click here if you can’t see the video.
The case is compatible with all three generations of the iPad, which should help broaden its appeal.
The project’s goal is $2,500. After going live just this afternoon, the amount pledged has already reached $1,659.
There are three different versions of the case – gray polyurethane, black leather, and espresso leather. An early backer can get the gray case for $47 while the espresso version can be had for $85.
Touchtype looks really interesting, and I’m definitely in to back the project. While I’ve enjoyed the recently reviewed Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Case, this looks like another great keyboard and iPad combination. Do you like the case?
