Notably Awesome: Awesome Note HD Gains iOS Calendar Integration And Retina iPad UI
May 25, 2012
Early last month, Awesome Note for iPhone was updated with a number of new important features. Of most note was its much-requested support for iOS Calendar integration. All well and good, but its iPad counterpart, Awesome Note HD, seemed to have been left out. Well, as of today, not anymore it's not.
Awesome Note HD has just been updated with the native ability to sync with the default calendar on iOS. This basically means that whatever event in your Calendar app seamlessly finds its way to the built-in calendar of Awesome Note HD. Of course, the other way around works as well. A bonus feature that comes with this new integration is the option to add or edit an event right within Awesome Note HD, after which the new or modified event appears in the Calendar app upon syncing. Also included in the update is a visibility menu, which lets you filter the calendar groups and note types you'd like to see in the app. And finally, Awesome Note HD is now truly HD with its support for the new iPad's Retina display.
Awesome Note HD for iPad is available in the App Store for $4.99. Awesome Note for iPhone, on the other hand, is available for just a dollar less. The latter was released in December 2009, while the former followed a year after. That both apps still continue to receive updates only serves as a note of their enduring awesomeness.
