Brand New Content Update Comes To 3-D Action RPG Brandnew Boy
June 25, 2012
Already a mind-blowing game at launch, Brandnew Boy has today received its first major update that only increases its merit as a 3-D action RPG for iOS.
Powered by the fantastic Unreal engine, Brandnew Boy tells of the adventures of a boy named Rookie. Suddenly finding himself in a strange place populated by monsters, he must engage in some serious fighting in order to stay alive. And that's where you, the player bestowed with the controlling powers of the iOS touchscreen, come in.
The latest update to Brandnew Boy dares you to put your virtual combat skills to the test even further with the newly added Infinity Mode.
Infinity Mode has a level system independent of the other, already existing mode, Scenario Mode. As its name suggests, it offers unlimited play, in which you must vanquish monsters who acquire more strength as you progress.

The update also introduces a new female character to the game, for which three new costumes can be purchased.
Her combat skills are practically the same as her male counterpart. But, unlike Rookie, she can charm monsters to come closer to her and shock them at close range. Talk about girl power. Note that you can switch between male and female characters in the game by using the Tag skill.
Along with the new mode and character, a variety of new weapons and accessories have been added to Brandnew Boy. As well, improvements to its level and stat system and fixes for its game balance are brought by the update.
The update is, of course, free for existing users. But for prospective players, Brandnew Boy is currently on sale in the App Store for only $0.99, down from its regular price of $3.99. Either way, there's always something new to be discovered in Brandnew Boy.
