Brave: Storybook Deluxe Retells Upcoming Disney Animated Film

Disney being Disney, it's not really surprising that not one, but two iOS apps have been launched recently to tie in with the entertainment company's upcoming "Brave." Alongside the endless runner Temple Run: Brave, an interactive book app called Brave: Storybook Deluxe has also been released by Disney in the App Store.
"Brave" is the latest collaboration between Disney and Pixar. Noted for being the first Pixar film with a female protagonist, "Brave" is about a skilled archer princess named Merida.
Merida unwittingly sparks chaos in the kingdom of DunBroch when she defies an age-old tradition. Now, in order to restore order in the lands, she must set out on a life-changing adventure.
The movie doesn't arrive in theaters until next week. But if you and your youngsters fancy knowing the gist of the story beforehand, you're free to check it out by reading Brave: Storybook Deluxe.
Like the Storybook Deluxe editions of Beauty and the Beast, Tangled, and Cars 2, Brave: Storybook Deluxe is an interactive book adaptation of its cinematic source material. The app, which is compatible with both iPhone and iPad, features a full retelling of the film enhanced with "tap-and-play surprises."
The app also includes an archery game and other mini-games such as puzzles and scavenger hunts. And in parallel with its embedded character voices and music, the app supports Follow Along, Read and Explore, and Record Your Own Voice reading modes.
Brave: Storybook Deluxe is available now in the App Store for $6.99. Pixar being Pixar, Brave: Storybook Deluxe ought to be a great storytelling app.
