Chrome For iOS Is Great, But This Jailbreak Tweak Can Make It Faster

Are you still enjoying Chrome for iOS, or have you found that the alternative just isn't as snappy as Safari? If you fall into the latter category, consider downloading a brand-new jailbreak tweak called Nitrous: this new package promises to give Chrome (and other third-party browsers) access to Apple's private Nitro Javascript Engine, meaning Chrome on your jailbroken iDevice could soon run as fast as Safari.
Though the difference in speed between Safari and Chrome might not feel all that great, as Jeff of iDownloadBlog has shown, the difference is, in fact, big. And this is all due to Safari's exclusive use of the Nitro Javascript Engine - the power-house, if you will, behind Safari for iOS, which doesn't power third-party browsers like Chrome.
However, with Nitrous, Chrome-users can speed up their beloved third-party browser. The jailbreak tweak can also speed up other third-party browsers - even those that are embedded within other applications, like Tweetbot's browser. All the jailbreak tweak's settings can be configured from within the Settings app, though switching Nitrous on is as simple as switching over a toggle.
For all the data from Jeff's tests, head over to iDownloadBlog. As he notes:
Not only do the hard line figures speak volumes for this tweak, but I can actually attest to the fact that the tweak makes Chrome more responsive as well. Pages load faster, and you’ll notice an overall boost in snappiness and response as a result.Sounds like a good tweak to me. Currently, Nitrous is available to download in the Cydia Store for just one dollar. Take a look at the tweak now, and for more information, check out the video walkthrough provided by iDownloadBlog.
