MacPhun has just taken the wraps off the new name and look for the app formerly known as Color Splash Studio.
Now known as ColorStrokes, the app features a number of improvements to help create beautiful color splash images.
Along with performance tweaks to make everything run faster inside the app, the key feature of the update is the ability to recolor your images and add colors to black-and-white images.
New community features have also been added so users can communicate with the ColorStrokes team directly from the app.
For a limited time, ColorStrokes can be downloaded in the App Store for $0.99. It is designed for the iPhone and iPod touch but is compatible with the iPad.
Thankfully, users of the previous versions of the app will receive the update for free.
The original app was released in early June. In our review, Christine Chan praised the interface and ease-of-use of program. And it won our Honorable Mention award in the App of the Week.
And if you own the iPhone version, MacPhun is also offering a fun and simple way to nab the Mac version for free. Simply email a picture manipulated with the app to gift@macphun.com.
