New App Brings The Stock Market To Your iPad In Retina Quality

Picking up where Apple refuses to go, the recently released Stock Market HD brings all of your stock information to the iPad.
Featuring timely data from market sources, the app takes complete advantage of the new iPad’s Retina display.
Developed by Timely Apps, Stock Market HD allows users to search and add stocks using a company name or symbol. Just like Apple’s iPhone-only Stocks app, you can also compare value and percentage change to your portfolio.
Along with providing information like daily open, high and low value, volume, price/earnings ratio, and market cap, the app’s chart view visualizes change over time.
Users can also browse all news related to a particular stock and share stories via Facebook or Twitter.
Stock Market HD is available for free in the App Store, but is ad supported, unfortunately. It is designed for only the iPad.
I liked the design and interface of the app, and would definitely pay for an ad-free version. Hopefully apps like these will convince Apple that there is enough interest to make a native Stocks app for the iPad. I’m still holding out hope that Apple may also one day create an impressive Weather app for the tablet just like the beautiful Clock app in iOS 6.
