Add This To The Growing Pile Of iPhone Rumors
August 9, 2012
We’ve heard a lot about the sixth-generation iPhone, including the likelihood that it will include a larger screen, thinner body, NFC capabilities, and new connector. Now, French site Nowhereelse.fr has published several photos that reportedly show Apple’s next handset with a protection shield.
These photos show a number of new iPhone features, which we’ve heard about before. These include a SIM card tray, and a slightly different home button. The protection shield, which hasn’t been rumored before, appears to attach to the back of the new iPhone’s display. Also newly discovered are flex cables for the handset’s sensors, and external buttons.
Like so many before, these photos cannot be verified. With Apple’s fall event expected to arrive on Sept. 12, we’ll know soon enough which rumors are true, and which ones are not.
Until then, we’ll probably see more “leaked” photographs like those presented here.
