Are You Traveling For Business Or Leisure? Either Way, TripStorage Will Keep You Company

August 15, 2012
If you’re someone who does a lot of traveling, be it for business or leisure, then you might find the recently released TripStorage to your liking. As its name suggests, TripStorage is an app that allows you to store a record of your trips. Although they fall under two wholly different categories of apps, TripStorage reminds me of Daily Income, a recent favorite app of mine. I guess it’s because both apps are concerned with the recording of relevant data. As well, I guess it’s because both apps are designed with remarkably smooth UIs. Designed for iPhone, TripStorage boasts an easy-to-use interface for recording your trips. With it, you can easily start, pause, and finish a trip recording. A recording includes the elapsed time, distance traveled, and the average speed. Also, you can specify whether a trip is of a work-related or personal nature with a simple toggle anytime during the recording. In the app’s Trips tab, you can view all of your trip recordings for the current month. By the end of the month, the recordings are automatically archived into the Storage tab. If you’re so inclined, you can edit, remove, or export a selected trip recording. TripStorage is available now in the App Store for $1.99. Note that the app often entails the continued use of GPS on your iPhone. As such, TripStorage is better used while your iPhone is plugged into your car power socket. That way, your iPhone remains juiced up even after a particularly long trip.
