Baby You Can Drive My Car ... And Listen To Stitcher Radio Too While You're At It

August 8, 2012
Stitcher Radio, the podcast app often referred to as "Pandora for news," is hitting the road with its latest update. As it stands, Stitcher Radio allows you to listen to your favorite podcasts on your iDevice while you drive your car. And if you own a supported GM, Ford, Chevy, or Mercedes model, you can also link the app to your car's dashboard for a more integrated listening experience. And now, Stitcher Radio is able to connect to BMW Apps and Mini Connected dashboards. "Over 40% of Stitcher listeners use Stitcher in the car," says the Stitcher Radio team, "so we’re proud to partner with BMW to deliver the best listening experience for drivers everywhere!" Thanks to the app's latest update, Stitcher Radio is now compatible with BMW and Mini models equipped with BMW Apps and Mini Connected, respectively. Aside from adding support for BMW, the Stitcher team has introduced the Stitcher List. Touted as an innovation in on-demand radio, the Stitcher List is a weekly ranking of shows available on the app. It presents the "Most Popular," the "Top Movers," and the "Most Shared" among the thousands of programs accessible through Stitcher. The Stitcher List is a nice complement to the app's Smart Station, an "intelligent" feature that was added to the app late last June. Stitcher Radio is available as a free universal app in the App Store.
