Give Banner Notifications A New, Minimalistic Look With MiniBanners Jailbreak Tweak

A number of jailbreak tweaks, like ColorBanner and CoverMeNot, promise to improve banner notifications on the iPhone. Now, a new banner notification-improviing jailbreak tweak has appeared in the Cydia Store: it's called "MiniBanners," and as its name suggests, the package promises to shrink down banner notifications on the jailbroken handset.
Once downloaded and installed, banner notifications get a new look. As you can see in the above image, instead of appearing as banners and taking over the entire width of the top of the iPhone's screen, the tweak's "mini banners" look rather like pop-up notifications, and take up a much smaller area. A badge notification informs users of the number of unread notifications - though unfortunately, with MiniBanners it's not possible to have notifications display a preview of the message or email delivered.
Currently, MiniBanners is available for free via the ModMyi repository, so there's no harm in taking a look. If you're impressed with this new jailbreak tweak, let us know in the comments - if you need more convincing, check out the video walkthrough below, which is provided by Jailbreak Nation.
