It's Full Steam Ahead For Robot Entertainment's Hero Academy
August 8, 2012
It looks to be a fairly big week for Robot Entertainment. The company has recently released a newsworthy update to Hero Academy for iOS and is launching the turn-based strategy game on another platform later today.
For iDevice owners, yesterday's release of v1.3 helped smooth things out with tweaks to a couple Tribe characters, which were added in April, plus provided a new map and challenges. The character adjustments consisted of the Axe Thrower's power being increased and the Witch corpse's power being decreased.
As for the additions, they're actually a bit of a tease. Both the seven new single player challenges and the new game board relate to the upcoming Hero Academy for Steam release and its inclusion of Team Fortress 2 content.
To utilize the exclusive Team Fortress characters in online matches, you'll need to download Hero Academy from the Steam network, which will be available in about eight hours, and associate the copy to your Hero Academy account. Until then, make sure to download the latest copy of Hero Academy for iOS and practice your tactics.
Hero Academy is a universal app compatible with iPad, second generation iPad, third generation iPad, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, 32GB and 64GB third generation iPod touch, fourth generation iPod touch and newer running iOS 4.1 or later, and available in the App Store as a free download.
