Radiul Mobile Kickstarter Puts Interesting Spin On The Usually Drab Document Holder

While there have been a slew of recent Kickstarter campaigns designed to help better grasp the iPad, the Radiul Mobile is looking to be a document holder that attaches to a tablet, laptop, or desktop.
Here’s a quick video about the project. Click here if you can’t see the video.
Made of anodized aluminum, the Radiul Mobile features a channel to insert papers and two durable “feet” with suction cups that attach to any reasonably smooth surface. The channel is connected to the feet by what are promised to be nearly unbreakable stainless-steel hinge pins.
The product also comes with a genuine leather carrying case.
As an early bird special, for a pledge of $30 or more, you can snag a Radiul Mobile. A $55 pledge or more receives a Radiul Mobile Deluxe with a wind stabilizer and extra micro suction cup material.
With 16 days left to go in the campaign, there has been a little more than $1,500 raised towards the goal of $14,000. If funded, estimated delivery of the product is in November.
I definitely like the idea of the Radiul Mobile. As a remote worker, I’m frequently away from an actual desk, but need access to a set of printed documents. And I definitely don’t have room to haul a bulky, ugly document holder everywhere I go. But the Radiul seems to be a great solution and actually blends in with an iPad or Mac laptop.
