Less than nine months after taking the App Store by storm, developer 11 Bit Studios has announced a sequel to the popular reverse tower defense game Anomaly Warzone Earth.
Anomaly Korea promises to feature tactical maps for battle planning, new units, new player powers, and an even more frantic race to build up a new battlefield against the alien horde.
The end of the first game saw humans claim victory in the battle of Tokyo and drove the alien horde from Earth.
But the alien robots are back and have answered the defeat with an assault against the human armies in the Korean peninsula. Players will be tasked with taking control of the attacking response team, leading squads against the alien towers, and using special weapons and abilities to turn the battle into a victory.
And right now, that’s all the information we have. There is no talk of release date of price for the sequel. We’ll keep an eye out for any more news and let you know as soon as we do.
The original game, Anomaly Warzone Earth, was released in November to strong reviews. Our own Lory Gil gave high praise to the tower offense game saying the title was a fantastic and refreshing twist on the genre.
And the Retina compatible version of the title, Anomaly Warzone Earth HD, was recently updated to take advantage of the new iPad’s display.
For the iPhone and iPod touch, users can purchase the standard-definition Anomaly Warzone Earth for $1.99 or the HD version for $3.99 that is also a universal title for the iPad.
