Whether You Like To Mega Run Or Mega Jump, There's Something Mega New For You
August 11, 2012
Get Set Games has recently issued a couple of updates, just a couple of hours apart, for a couple of its “mega” games.
Yup, fans of both Mega Run and Mega Jump are in for a double treat.
First, let’s start with the bigger update, which belongs to Mega Run.
In case you’re not familiar with it, Mega Run is the spiritual sequel to the two-year old Mega Jump. It takes the character made popular by its predecessor, Redford. It then subjects him to some running cum platforming, as opposed to Mega Jump’s endless jumping.
The main highlight of the new update to Mega Run is the addition of the fifth game world called The Misty Mountains. A mountain world with fresh graphics and music, it contains 16 new stages for Redford to run through.
You need to have collected 120 stars or 250 MP in order to unlock The Misty Mountains. But some users are reporting that they’re unable to unlock the new world even though they have at least 120 stars. Better get on this issue, Get Set Games.

Mega Run’s mega update also brings the following:
As for Mega Jump’s not-so-mega update, it also delivers some tweaks and bug fixes. But, more important, it introduces a new character named Yoo Hoo. Actually, Yoo Hoo is not-so-new in that he’s originally one of Redford’s enemies in Mega Run. But if you’ve always wanted to play as Yoo Hoo in Mega Jump, now you can. The update to Mega Jump also adds more videos for you to watch in exchange for free MP. Mega Run and Mega Jump are both available in the App Store for free. The former is a universal game, whereas the latter is designed for iPhone and iPod touch only.
- Three new bad guys - Rockwell the rock monster, the Stone Shark and Charging Charles!
- Watch out for the new Bash Blocks - you'll have to time your jumps just right!
- The new Trapdoor - use it to drop into new areas or dodge a dangerous dilemma!
- Plus lots more tweaks and bug fixes!
